Beer Tasting – Moon Safari
Moon Safari By Turning Point Brew Co Review

Craft Beer Tasting – Moon Safari by Turning Point Brewery

Background First

So here we go with another blog post for Craft Booze Shop with one of my favourite breweries at the minute.

Turning Point Brew Co are a micro brewery based around Knaresborough in North Yorkshire, although I’m not sure they are that micro anymore? Haha. They pack a lot of flavour into their beers, and I’ve had quite a few in their range.

About the beer

This one is Moon Safari, a 4.2% Hazy Pale with Amarillo and Citra hops.

Doesn’t appear that any hops are added at the beginning of the boil for bitterness, both the Amarillo and Citra hops are added towards the end for the flavours!

Looking really nice on the pour, very hazy and a nice straw colour to it as we see in most pale beers.

My Thoughts

I’ve said it before, Citra is my favourite hop variety, adding loads of zesty, fruity flavours to beers and this is no different. Hits you on the nose as soon as you open the can with orange and grapefruit.

The amarillo hops really back this up in the taste, as the zesty tangerine comes through with the bitterness of grapefruit lingering afterwards. Really light to drink, as Pales should be.

This one would be really sessionable, especially on some hot summers days. Carbonation was good too, good colour and not much sediment even though its an unrefined beer as most beers are nowadays.

Altogether a really nice hazy pale, as you would expect from Turning Point as they keep producing bangers! Loving their artwork too, which I think is done in house.
