Brewed in collaboration with Deanston Bakery for Beernomicon’s Cvlt Of Independence event, the brown ale grist provides a soft, rounded foundation for cinnamon spice, creating layers of dried fruit, bread dough, caramel and chocolate with a subtly citrus edge.
At 4.8% this is a brown ale first and foremost. The temptation to create a too-sweet, viscous pastry beer was resisted in favour of something that fits our usual style; to be drunk by the glassful and enjoyed right to the end. Just like the legendary Deanston Bakery cinnamon buns that provide the inspiration, one is never enough.
