One of our favourite styles of beer ever!
A style of beer that was born out of US homebrewers attempting to recreate English Brown Ales and Porters. However, through the use of the big American hops of the day the bitterness became more pronounced than those styles and a more pronounced hop aroma became highly apparent.
We’ve used Ella, Talus and Columbus hops to bring notes of grapefruit, pine and resin which sit alongside the light coffee & toffee notes that the malt base provides.
