Off to the sweet shop again for the latest LeiMai beer, and we’re once again joined by NoLo iconoclasts Mash Gang for a sequel to last year’s Fizzy Worm Berliner Weisse – a Beer of the Year frontrunner for plenty of us here at Monk.
With Valentine’s Day approaching, Love Hearts felt like a no-brainer and allow us to recreate the bold, fruit-forward sourness that made Gary’s Fizzy Army such a winner.
We’ve crammed a 2.4% sour base full of cherry & strawberry puree and orange juice post-fermentation to keep the fruit flavours pronounced and not lose any of their impact to the fermentation process, plus malic acid and citric acid for that tart green apple & lemon sherbet fizz.
